Serie C outfit Giugliano Calcio announced that the club had secured the services of Egyptian youngster Salah Basha from Udinese on a permanent deal.
The Egyptian young striker was very decisive for Udinese Primavera last season, scoring 14 goals and assisting five more in 23 games which earned him a call for Egypt U20 team.
Basha was also named on the bench for Udinese’s senior squad in the penultimate game of the last season against Sampdoria but he didn’t feature.
“A further prestigious signing aimed at strengthening the squad. Basha is a player with a great prospects,” Giugliano Calcio said in a statement confirming the signing of the 2003-born striker.
Eligible for both Italy and Egypt, Basha has been representing Egypt at youth level, being part of Egypt’s campaign in U20 Arab Cup in which Egypt reached the final before losing to Saudi Arabia on penalties.
Basha set to take part with the Pharaohs in the U20 Africa Cup of Nations that will take place in Egypt between the 19th of February and the 11th of March.
